On Memorial Day weekend where America pays tribute to and remembers our nation’s service men and women, veterans and heroes Bret Michaels paid special tribute to soldiers in a big way. During a performance to kick off the 97th annual Indianapolis 500 weekend in front a record setting crowd of 106,000 fans in attendance Michaels brought out three soldiers in attendance onstage to honor them for their service in front of the roaring crowd. Michaels, the son of a veteran and who comes from a long line of military family is constant in support of our nation’s military. Michaels himself has performed for the troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait, bringing troops up on stage during his live shows to thank them and meeting wounded heroes at concert stops.
This Carb Day performance doubled the previous attendance record still held by Bret Michaels and Poison.
