I had an amazing time performing at the MDA telethon! Check it out on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 9/8c on ABC – you’ll also get to meet some incredible kids and adults who are affected by muscle disease. You can help the Muscular Dystrophy Association save and improve lives at http://www.mda.org/showofstrength
I’ve received a mass amount of supporters challenging me to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I accept the challenge in honor of my good friend Brett Booge who lost his ALS battle. Thanks to the awesome, record breaking crowd in Connecticut and 99.1 WPLR for joining me in the fight, raising awareness and I’m now challenging my good friends Official AJ Hawk, Troy Polamalu and as soon as the ribs heal Andrew Mccutchen.

Bret Michaels Returns To Nebraska With A Community Of Friends For Promised Tornado Relief Concert, Makes Donation
Remaining true to his word on Sunday, August 24th musician, entrepreneur and philanthropist Bret Michaels returned to Norfolk, Nebraska to put on a SOLD OUT Rock N’ Relief benefit concert to aid individuals and families affected by recent tornadoes and storms.
Michaels, who on his day off recently traveled to Pilger, NE along with his band and crew, also assisted with cleanup efforts after the small mid-American town had been struck by tragic storms. Bret was excited to return to Nebraska joined by a community of friends that include Pilger Sheriff Mike Unger, area police, fire and volunteers with whom he worked side by side with in the trenches to help rebuild the town.
Having personal ties to Nebraska, with family living in the state and nearby affected areas, Michaels has asked lots of local friends, bands, residents, fire, police and volunteers to join him onstage where he made sizable monetary donations through his Life Rocks Foundation to benefit tornado relief efforts.
Bret Michaels recently became the 1st person to make a personal donation of $10,000 to kick off the MDA telethon. We encourage you, if you have the means, to donate whatever you can to the fight and help families when you watch Bret perform on the MDA telethon! Don’t miss it this Sunday at 9/8c on ABC!
